August 17, 2009 - Bookworming in the 21st Century - “I really was pulled into the story from the start.”

August 15, 2009 - Bloody Bad - This was one of the most honest teen books I have read this year. In the plethora of paranormal teen romance Barker shines as something new and different. Barker was really able to relate with her characters and her writing showed how teens emotions can ebb and way.

August 15, 2009 - Kay’s Bookshelf - What I liked most: The fact that this is a story about friendship and the way it helps one overcome the obstacles life throws one’s way.

August 15, 2009 - Celebrate Life With Bargains - Don’t want to ruin the whole book by giving out too much detail! But this is a book great for young and old to read that may have a self image distortion problem or have a lack of self confidence in themselves.

August 14, 2009 - Merry Weather Book Blog - Dancing with Ana deals with many issues that young girls face today. This book is just right in telling their story, without becoming too complicated. It’s a book written especially to be read by teenage girls but parents or teachers would find it helpful as well. For teachers it would be helpful to have on hand a copy to give to someone who may be in their own dance with Ana.

August 13, 2009 - Dark Diva Reviews - Although this is a young adult book, any woman should be able to relate to this touching and very real story about the problems that our children face today.

August 13, 2009 - Libby’s Literary Library - Give this book to a teen that you know and care about. Enough said!

August 11, 2009 - Witch Baby’s Journal - Be prepared for a stellar read, but a very emotionally draining process.

August 10, 2009 - The Maiden’s Court - While this story could have easily fallen into clichéd territory, Nicole Barker does a phenomenal job at creating stories and characters that you care about. By the second chapter I was absorbed in Beth’s story and couldn’t wait to read what would happen next.

August 10, 2009 - Missys Book Nook - The scenarios are very real in this story. Teen parties with no parents home, eating and purging, and broken homes. It is a story of friendship, and finding out what your true feelings are, and overcoming your fears. This book is a must-read for teens.

August 10, 2009 - Morbid Romantic - Beth’s character is compelling and honest, and it really does reflect the difficulties of being a teenager girl. Barker captured the voice of youth nicely and convincingly.

August 9, 2009 - Miss Remmers’ Review - I absolutely loved “Dancing with Ana.” I’m so excited to say that this is the first book I’ve read all summer that I will be putting in the box labeled “Miss Remmers’ Classroom”. …Female students will not be able to put this book down after they read the first page. …It has the right amount of romance - but the romance is the supporting issue.

August 4, 2009 - booktumbling - …I believe any parent of a teenage girl would benefit from reading this story of friendship, despair, love and acceptance. …Ms. Barker seems to have the knack of looking at life through a teenager’s eyes and heart.

August 4, 2009 - Tales of a Book Addict - I received it in the mail yesterday and sat down with it last night and read it in one sitting. It was that good. …I honestly believe that women of all ages could really relate to the girls in this story, I highly recommend this book to everyone.

August 3, 2009 - A Few of My Favorite Things - I believe that this is an excellent book to be read, shared, and discussed by teens and their parents, and educators as well.
